We're Changing the Conversation. Join Us!

When was the last time you were tempted to go on a diet? Or felt you had to do more or be better before you could be happy?

As a society we’re quick to define health as a tangible “thing."  We look for quick fixes to our problems that can lead us astray from who we are and what we truly want out of life. At the Office of Health Promotion, we want to help students think about health in a “sometimes this, sometimes that” type of way.

  • What makes me feel good?

  • What brings joy and meaning to my life?

  • What do I need in this moment?

Maybe, the solution isn't one "quick fix;" rather, it's a way of life that requires reflection, courage to be who we are, and a willingness to think outside-of-the-box when it comes to well-being. Health is a journey - what we want, need, and feel changes year-to-year, day-to-day, even moment-to-moment. We want our students to define health for themselves, to listen to and and honor their bodies, minds, and souls, and to cultivate a life that is balanced and sustainable.
